  • Legacy Cider Barrel Aged

    A classic dry (tannic) cider. No sweetness at all added. Just the cider and the wood.

    Made with a single variety Dabinette apple and matured for 18 months in bourbon whiskey barrels. Very different to our ‘Dry Cider’ below as this is a tannic dry, (more akin to a red wine) The vanilla from the barrel brings in a perception of sweetness and the whiskey notes are prominent.

  • Legacy Cider Dry

    This was the first cider I made back in the autumn of 2015. It was launched on the market in April 2016.

     A very exciting time for me! This is blended with 4 different apple varieties from fresh pressed apples. It is a blend of Bramley, Elstar, Dabinette and Michellin. The Bramley gives the acidic backbone to this cider, the Elstar gives the signature flavour, teh Dabinette is for the tannic balance which softenes the acidicy and balances the flavour. Michellin gives the smoothness, almost like a vanilla flavour.

  • Legacy Cider Medium

    Blended predominantly with rich Dabinette and lush Michellin apples, this is a sweet red apple tasting cider.

    Blended with Elstar and Bramley apples to give a backbone and structure. Our blends are always a work of art! This is an easy drinking cider with a taste of more!

Our family history

“We chose the name Legacy for our cider because I’m following in the footsteps of my grandfather and my father by making a living from apples. My Grandfather grew and sold apples and my Dad grew apple trees; I took it one step further and make cider – well, they do say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!”

Legacy Irish Cider is made in our custom built Cidery surrounded by our lush orchard in Carrigroe, Dungarvan. We overlook the beautiful Brickey valley in West Waterford.
